Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

At the business' discretion, a down-payment may be necessary to aquire meterials needed for work to begin. This down payment would be up to, but not more than, 50% of the overall project cost. This amount is not refundable and would be forfitted if a customer were to stop the build for any reason.

Refund Policy - the basics

Refunds are not possible once a build has been started. If the build has not been started, any payment received may be refunded, less the possible 30% materials cost.

Refunds in General

If at any time the project is expanded or changed, this could incur more cost and time which would increase possible payment needed for materials.
Any project started cannot be refunded. 
If no payment was taken for materials, but the project has begun, if cancelled, payment will be required for materials.

F.A.Q.

  • How long will my build take?

    • That all depends on what it is you want. If it's something that is already part of the Gallery, I can provide a closer timeframe when the order is placed.
      All builds will have a timeframe given. Updates will be provided through the process. My goal is to beat the deadline and deliver early if possible.​

  • What if I don't have the downpayment needed to start the build?

    • Depending on what is being built, and how payment is being made, it is possible we can come to a mutual agreement. That being said, please be ready to apply a downpayment up to 50% of the overall cost. This ensures materials are purchased quickly and that you are serious about the project.​

  • Do I need to come get the build, or will you deliver?

    • If you come to collect the finished product yourself, there is no extra charge. If delivery is needed, an extra charge will be added to the invoice to cover mileage at a rate of .75 per mile. This rate matches the federal mileage rate. If the federal rate changes, my rate will change to match it.​

  • What happens if I need to change a detail before the build is finished?

    • That's understandable. Sometimes we remember details after the build begins. If this change can happen without needing more materials and I haven't already gotten past that point, the change in scope can happen without any additional cost. It is possible more time could be needed depending on the change being asked for. ​If the time for this change has already passed, I will let you know that immediately. At that point, if the build is no longer required, the downpayment will not be refunded, but you will also not need to pay anything else. The build will remain with Builds By Jason, LLC and a determination will be made to either scrap, or, finish and sell separately at the expense of Builds By Jason, LLC.
